Acer or maple tree is a deciduous tree of the Aceraceae family. It has large dimensions and can reach a big height and also a crown diameter of up to 20 meters. It blooms in spring (April-May) and it can remain in this condition during winter. What makes it one of the most useful trees in landscape architecture is its leaves. They are palm-shaped with 3-5 pointed ends, while they change colour over the seasons, from green to yellow and red. Maple trees love light, but also semi-shady places. They are resilient to climatic conditions and pollution. The main species are: campestre, cappadocium, negundo, palmatum, platanoides, pseudoplatanus, semprevirens and rubrum.
