Strawberry tree is one of the most impressive evergreen bushes and belongs to the Ericaceae family. It can reach a height up to 10 meters, whilst the diameter of the crown from 2.5-4 meters. It blooms twice a year, once in May and once in September. What makes it special is its edible fruit, which has yellow and red colors. The leaves of this plant are smooth, with a toothed edges. It prefers slightly acidic rather than calcareous soils. It can be found more often in fences, coastal areas, parks and gardens. Finally, it is very resistant to drought, frost, and does not need pruning. The main species are the following: unedo, menziessi, andrachnoides and andrachne.
