Phoenix canariensis - Canary Date Palm - Palmera Canaria - Palmaceae
These species (phoenix - fenix - palmae canariensis) that originate from the Canary Islands, can grow up to a height of 20 meters, but in climates like ours seldom exceed 6m. They have straight bulky and textured trunk and evergreen leaves. Phoenix Canariensis is particularly widespread as a decorative plant in the parks and gardens of Mediterranean countries, but is also suitable for coastal planting. They can even grow in dry, neutral or alkaline soils, in full sun and warm climates. They can be planted separately or in rows. Their production is on a private property in the region of west central Greece, in the area Lesini Aitoloakarnania.
In our nurseries are thousands of hardy plants from 0.50 to 2.00 meters height trunk. Our plants are free from commonly called beetle (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus).
